Compliment or Insult?

Comments

I almost always take names and descriptions of myself with a pinch of salt, mainly because the people who tend to verbalise their thoughts about me are not worthy of my time. What I do take offence to is someone talking negatively about my friends.
It could be something quite mundane sometimes, most likely because I can relate to what they are saying but I would think it was rather rude to mention it to the person, so I'd almost always have to retort with something to keep the balance.
Honestly alone is not always wholesome! Interesting reading.
[this is good]

I think that words can be interpreted in wildly different ways, especially online. That's why detailed descriptions are better. For example instead of "wholesome" (which means nothing by itself) I prefer details.

As an example one might say, "I had a dinner with my family, we are conservative and not allowed to discuss evolution at the table and everyone had to wear red white and blue because that's a wholesome dinner" or conversely "I try to avoid eating red meat because I'm afraid of mad cow disease. I buy organic tomatoes and I think those are wholesome". Much more descriptive.

Great discussion!!
